Sorrento and Positano:
Sorrento, perched on a high cliff at the heart of its peninsula, gazes out over the Gulf of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius rising majestically and the islands of Ischia and Procida gracing the horizon. Surrounding it are lush green villa gardens and citrus groves, while its center is a maze of narrow alleyways and bustling squares adorned with historic buildings. Among these is the birthplace of the renowned poet Torquato Tasso (1544-1595), alongside museums and artisanal workshops preserving local culture. Below, the inviting beaches of “Marina Piccola” and “Marina Grande” stretch along the coastline near the ports. The area is home to around a hundred hotels, some with proud histories spanning over two centuries.
Positano is situated on the western side of the captivating natural terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, known as the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This enchanting region embodies the quintessential Mediterranean charm of southern Italy, with its whitewashed houses cascading towards the sea, picturesque beaches, and quaint alleys brimming with life. Here, visitors can enjoy a relaxed pace, explore stylish boutiques, savor delightful cafés and restaurants, and discover locations steeped in history.
